Buyer benefits are for a first qualifying purchase by someone who has never owned a qualifying Tesla product. Prior Tesla energy ownership can affect eligibility too. Cybertruck Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive is excluded from buyer and referrer benefits; Tesla lists it for loyalty benefits only. Check the exact configuration before ordering. Model S and Model X are not listed as qualifying purchases in the reviewed terms.
A checklist for the specific listing
Keep these details together as you compare cars. Recheck them against the final selection before payment; an older screenshot is only a research note.
- Vehicle identity: VIN where displayed, model, trim, drive, model year and wheels. If no VIN is shown, retain the listing details and ask Tesla to clarify the vehicle being offered.
- Equipment: seating, paint, interior and included options. Use the Model Y or Model 3 guide to decide which differences matter to you.
- Condition: new/used/demo classification, displayed mileage and condition disclosures. Resolve unclear demo status before relying on referral eligibility.
- Location and timing: where the vehicle is, where you would take delivery, any transport charges shown and the delivery estimate. Confirm it can be sold and registered for your location.
- Order terms: selected vehicle price, fees, payment method and each promotion’s requirements or deadlines. Read the order agreement before submitting payment.
Separate a listing adjustment from a referral
Our earlier showroom-matching article described an unsupported advisor VIN reassignment and hidden discount. That procedure and savings claim are withdrawn. Compare a written offer for the car you actually want; do not order an unwanted configuration assuming staff can substitute another car or preserve its offers.
Check each financing, inventory or other promotion’s terms separately. Referral eligibility does not establish that offers can be combined. Keep cash price reductions, financing costs and software access separate.
An inventory price is part of the vehicle comparison. A financing offer changes borrowing terms. A referral has separate eligibility and benefits. Check whether each actual offer permits the combination for your vehicle and payment method.
Returning-owner loyalty benefits are separate from first-time buyer referral benefits. Do not add both to the same buyer’s savings estimate. There is no assumed savings total here: we have not verified a current listing price or combined offer for this referral link.
From research to a qualifying order
